AS an instrumental part of one’s healthcare journey, MD+ Clinic and Diagnostic Center continues to provide the best standard of care for patients.
“We understand that there are a lot of people with chronic illnesses or urgent symptoms that also need to be addressed,” says Dr. Therese Pangilinan-Ikeda, MD+ Medical Director.
The clinic has adapted alternative ways to keep #BringingCareCloser to non-Covid patients by offering free online consultations done through video calls with their in-house general practitioners (GP) who are also available every day at their BGC branch. They also have Home Service, which is being offered free of charge for Park West residents, but are available all the same to nearby residential condos for a minimum fee.
“Our goal is to provide other options apart from going to crowded emergency rooms,” adds the medical director.
The outpatient healthcare center keeps their doors open at Park West Tower, BGC with adjusted operating hours — Monday to Friday from 7a.m. to 4p.m., following the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and with all safety measures in place.
Employees are required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), practice proper hygiene and cough etiquette, and promote social distancing, while patients are screened for symptoms and possible exposure to confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients before entering the clinic. Rest assured, those who are exhibiting signs of the Covid illness are referred to the nearest hospital.
All treatments and procedures are available, but some services such as imaging studies and tests like Ultrasound, 2D-Echo, specialist consultation, and more, are done by appointment to limit patient traffic in the clinic. The 2020 Quadivalent Flu vaccine is also being offered at MD+.
